Many of us had, or still have, a preconceived and totally naive idea of the number of children we would like, some even go as far as thinking about how many of each gender they would like. There are countless studies on this too.....how many children makes the "perfect size family"?

Does an only child necessarily mean a lonely child? How do you stay in control when you're outnumbered by your kids? And should you have more children if you can't afford to spend time and money on them?
