The Miss England finals are taking place this Friday and the winner will go on to represent the country in the 70th Miss World final later this year.
In this episode I'm joined by Angie Beasley, Director of the Miss England contest, and Tia Carter, a Miss England finalist and the current Miss Leicester.
We discuss what goes on behind the scenes, why the contest is more than just being a pretty face, how beauty pageants have evolved and what it takes to be a beauty queen.
